Job Summary

The Assistant Teacher supports the Lead Teacher in daily classroom activities and helps maintain a safe, clean, and engaging environment for children. This role involves assisting with lesson implementation, supervising children, and providing individualized attention as needed.

Responsibilities

Lesson Assistance

Assist the Lead Teacher in preparing and implementing lesson plans. Help set up and organize materials for classroom activities.

Child Supervision

Supervise children during classroom activities, outdoor play, and transitions. Ensure their safety and well-being at all times.

Social and Emotional Support

Support children's social and emotional development by fostering a positive and inclusive environment. Assist in resolving conflicts and promoting positive interactions.

Classroom Maintenance

Help maintain a clean, organized, and safe classroom environment. Assist with regular cleaning and sanitizing of materials and surfaces.

Record-Keeping

Assist with record-keeping and documentation of children's progress. Help maintain accurate and up-to-date records of attendance, incidents, and developmental milestones.

Parent Communication

Communicate with parents as directed by the Lead Teacher. Provide updates and information about their child's day and progress.

Team Participation

Participate in staff meetings and professional development sessions. Collaborate with colleagues to create a cohesive and supportive teaching environment.

Classroom Management

Assist with classroom management and behavior guidance. Implement positive discipline strategies and support the Lead Teacher in creating a structured learning environment.
